Kitty Bingo App Review: Android App, Mobile Site & Six Bingo Rooms

Kitty Bingo has run since 2012 and now belongs to the Rank Group, the company behind Mecca. It offers six bingo formats, one of the widest spreads in UK bingo, and an Android app next to a mobile site that covers iPhone and iPad.

Good to know

  • Six bingo formats, including 80, 50, 40 and 36-ball rooms
  • Free bingo every night from 8 to 9pm
  • £5 minimum deposit and withdrawal

Worth checking

  • No iPhone app; iPhone and iPad play in the browser
  • Paysafecard is for deposits only

Kitty Bingo launched in the second half of 2012 as one of the brands of Daub Alderney, part of Stride Gaming. In 2019 the Rank Group bought Stride, so Kitty now sits in the same family as Mecca and Grosvenor. The online games are run by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Ltd under UK Gambling Commission account 57924, and the kittybingo.com domain is listed on the Commission’s public register under that account.

The Kitty Bingo app on Android, and the browser on iPhone

On Android, the site sends players to its own app: the site’s help pages say that for the best mobile experience you can download the Kitty Bingo Android app. Real-money gambling apps in Google Play are only shown to adults in the UK, so search for it from a UK account on your own phone.

On iPhone and iPad the story is different. A search of the UK App Store turns up no Kitty Bingo app, so Apple users play in Safari. That is less of a drawback than it sounds. The mobile site is built for small screens, the lobby, cashier and account area are all there, and you log in with the same details as on a computer. If you want it to feel like an app, add the site to your home screen from the Safari share menu: it then opens full screen from its own icon.

On a tablet the site scales up, so 90-ball tickets get more room and the chat panel can sit beside the game.

Kitty Bingo login

There is one account for everything. The Kitty Bingo login on the Android app, in Safari on an iPhone and on a laptop uses the same email and password, so a game started on the sofa can be picked up on the bus. Forgotten details are reset from the link under the log-in box. Before the first withdrawal, Kitty, like every UK-licensed site, asks for proof of identity, so it saves time to have it ready. Always check the address bar shows kittybingo.com before you type a password.

Six bingo formats in one lobby

Most UK bingo sites stop at three or four formats. Kitty lists six:

FormatWhat to expect
90-ballThe classic UK game, with one line, two lines and full house
80-ballA four-by-four ticket with patterns, a step between 90 and 75-ball
75-ballThe pattern game: lines, shapes and full card
50-ballEmoji Bingo, where the ticket shows emoji instead of numbers
40-ballA short game that suits a few minutes on the bus
36-ballThe fastest room, a game is over in moments

The short formats are the reason to choose Kitty if you play on a phone. A 36-ball or 40-ball game fits into a coffee break, and you can move back to a 90-ball room when you have more time. Branded rooms such as Rainbow Riches Bingo and Fluffy Favourites add a slot-themed twist on top of the main games.

Free bingo and 1p tickets

Free games every evening and tickets from 1p make Kitty a penny bingo site at heart. From 8pm to 9pm, the Penny Heaven room runs free bingo. Other rooms sell tickets from 1p with daily prizes, which keeps the cost of a long session low. On Friday nights, from 8pm to 10pm, the Dab & Blab Live room adds a hosted live show to the bingo. There is also a daily free prize wheel in the lobby.

Free and penny rooms have their own entry rules, such as a recent deposit, so read the room card before you buy in.

Payments in the Kitty cashier

The cashier lists Visa and Mastercard debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Paysafecard and instant bank transfer. The minimum deposit is £5 and so is the minimum withdrawal, which is lower than at many larger brands. Paysafecard works for deposits only, so you will need a second method to withdraw. Credit cards cannot be used for gambling in the UK.

MethodDepositWithdrawalMinimum
Visa or Mastercard debitYesYes£5
PayPalYesYes£5
Apple PayYesYes£5
Instant bank transferYesYes£5
PaysafecardYesNo£5

On an iPhone, Apple Pay in Safari is the quickest way to deposit, confirmed with Face ID or Touch ID.

Safer play tools

As a Rank brand, Kitty has the same set of controls as Mecca. You can set net and gross deposit limits, take a break for a chosen period, turn on reality checks that remind you how long you have been playing, or self-exclude. The site links to GAMSTOP, which blocks access to every UK-licensed gambling site at once, and to GamCare for free support.

Who it suits

To sum up this Kitty Bingo review in one line: it is built for variety on a small budget.

  • Players who like variety and switch between long and short games
  • Android users who want a dedicated app
  • Budget players who use the free hour and 1p rooms
  • Mecca players who want a smaller, chattier site from the same company

If you want an iPhone app from the App Store, look at Mecca Bingo instead, which publishes its bingo app for iPhone, iPad and Android.

Kitty Bingo and Lucky Pants

Lucky Pants Bingo runs on the same Rank platform, with a very similar lobby, the same payment methods and a matching evening schedule. The differences are small: Kitty has an Android app and a 40-ball room, Lucky Pants leans more on its round-the-clock chat rooms. Pick the one whose rooms and community you like better.

Compared with similar apps

AppStore appsBingo formatsStands out for
Kitty Android 90, 80, 75, 50, 40, 36-ball Game variety
Mecca iPhone, Android, iPad 90, 80, 75-ball Simple navigation
Lucky Pants Mobile site 90, 80, 75, 50, 36-ball Community

Verdict. Kitty Bingo is the pick for players who like to move between formats in one session: six ball counts, cheap 1p tickets and an hour of free bingo every evening. Android players get an app; on iPhone and iPad the browser does the job, and nothing important is missing there.
